Τώρα, τι δείχνουν οι δημοσκοπήσεις. Σύμφωνα με το “The Daily Gallup Report” o Barack Obama προηγείται σε εθνικό επίπεδο της Hillary Clinton (51% έναντι 40%). Πάλι σε πανεθνικό επίπεδο ο Barack Obama προηγείται του John McCain με δύο μονάδες δύο μονάδες (46% έναντι 44%). To ίδιο συμβαίνει και με την Hillary Clinton έναντι του Ρεπουμπλικάνου υποψηφίου (46% έναντι 44%).
